Welcome to the official website of the World Filipino Martial Arts Association. WFMAA was established by Punong Guro Myrlino P. Hufana in 2003 to help in the promotion and preservation of indigenous fighting arts of the Philippines. Its world-class event, known as the WFMAA EXPO & LABAN LARO, has gathered some of the very top Masters and Grandmasters of ARNIS, KALI and ESRKIMA from around the world.
The EXPO & LABAN LARO is an event like no other. The EXPO is a 2-day training seminar featuring a select group of top Masters/GMs representing an array of authentic Filipino Martial Arts. Participants of all levels come from afar to learn and meet with the Masters/GMs, furthering their skills and knowledge of the legendary fighting arts of the Philippines. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and network, improving their "FMA Connections" worldwide. It is an association of Brotherhood among true warriors of the art.
The LABAN LARO is a tournament of champions, where the best stick and knife fighting exponents come together to test their skills against other formidable "Players" of FMA. The event brings about the true warrior spirit and the essence of brotherhood. It is a testing ground, but also a venue of friendship and character development.
The WFMAA has earned great respect and support from the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police ARNIS TEAMS. Their TEAMS have travelled from afar and participated at several events. They have brought the level of competition to highest standards. We look forward to more incredible action and excellence in a World-Class competition.
The World Filipino Martial Arts Association is an international association without politics, egos and drama. It's honorable mission is to promote the FMA as a whole and help in the preservation of the warrior arts of the Philippines. If you support this mission and have the passion to help propagate the art, you are encouraged to join and participate in our events.
You do not have to be a current FMA student or instructor to participate. We are confident that after your participation, you too will fall in love with the art and be captured by its effectiveness, realism and beauty. It's a Brotherhood, a Warrior Tradition, a Culture!
